Production status right now looks good
I have been working on several things lately: Keyboard shortcuts for quickbar, adding soundManager, combat calculations based on damage/armor lookup table, item cooldown and restricting map teleporting.
Keyboard shortcuts are now working. Keys 1-7 are shortcuts to use sword and quickbar items. Using an item leads to cooldown period, and while the cooldown you cant reuse the item, nor can you move it around in inventory.
Using world map to teleport from one place to another can now be set disabled in area data, so its possible to make a dungeon with no possibility to teleport out.
There are still some features I need to add to make the game engine complete from game play point of view:
- Disabling map teleport points until they are reached [edit: working now!]
- Keyboard shortcut (Tab?)Â to select and cycle through targets
- Creature respawing options (no respawning, respawns, area resets when entered)
- Sound effects and music, music/sound muting
When these are done there is lots of polishing to do, naturally. But the production part is now nearly done.
