Shopping done!
Yes, the shopping feature is now done! And I also made some small features I have been planning for quite long time.
One of them is sargophagus container, that gives loot as normal container, but also has possibility to pop up some monsters to guard it, when opened.
Another feature is a minion artifact type. This is, for example, a skeleton ring that will summon a skeleton minion that will follow you and attack any creature you target. So it gives player interesting tactical possibilities in combat.
I also finalized the “home teleport” feature. Player can choose any “map teleport” to be his/her home teleport. When entering the game, or dying, player will be transferred to this teleport. These teleports also show up in the world map, so itse also sort of combined advancement viewer and shorcut system.
So there it is. Game engine has now all necessary gameplay elements in place. Next I need to concentrate on area “floorplans” – there needs to be good variety of different types of areas. Then I need to create draft of final content, so I can balance the game elements – e.g. monster stats, item stats, prices, dungeon level difficulty, loot dropping ratios, etc etc – everything affets everything, so I probably will need to make a proper beta release to get input from playtesters… so stay tuned for beta release =)
